EC PHILIPPINES HOSTS FIRST HELICOPTER SEMINAR IN THE COUNTRY FOR ASIA

Manila, Philippines, 23 June 2008 – Eurocopter Philippines, Inc. proudly hosted the first Light Helicopter Seminar on 19 and 20 June at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. The attendees (80 customers) of this exclusive event included pilots, helicopter technicians and aviation managers of most of the largest groups and corporations in Asia. Top executives from Eurocopter France and Eurocopter South East Asia were also in attendance to lead the workshops during this two-day event. The Philippines was chosen as the venue for this affair as it is the Asian country with the largest number of light helicopters in flight.

EC Philippines has experienced tremendous growth over the past three years with a strengthened boom between 2006 and 2007. Some factors that contribute to this progress are the strategy of long-term investment in the country, the restructuring of EC Philippines by putting emphasis on the training of local staff, especially technicians and engineers, and improving the quality of the customer service team by creating stronger and closer relationships with local customers.

Despite its current developments, EC Philippines is still striving to be even better to further increase growth. Some key issues that are being focused on right now are spares delivery and technical support, in which EC Philippines is working together with the EC Group for improvement. This seminar proved to be beneficial to all parties involved creating, for the very first time, the Eurocopter Customers’ Exclusive Community. During the workshops the customers were able to voice out their questions and concerns while the Eurocopter executives were able to communicate and exchange with them directly.

The seminar had a wonderful turnout with more than the expected number of guests in attendance. It was confirmed a success from the positive customer feedback and Eurocopter Group’s offer of a technical refresher course seminar for the customers to take place by the end of the year.
